In my experiences it seems as though there is still much debate revolving around parents, educators, and community members understandings of the purpose and goals of these new national learning standards. However, this advertisement, which was created by one State's Education Department, implies that Common Core increases learning standards. In your opinion is this true, why or why not? Also, how does this relate to teacher expectations of student achievement?
